Lecture on the topic of growing up with gaming

Are games frivolous, or an important part of society and personal development? Come and listen to Sebastian Frankenberg, Principal of LBS Kreativa Gymnasiet in Jönköping, who will be giving a lecture on the theme ”Growing up with games – a principal's view on young people's gaming”.”

More about the lecture

This is what Sebastian himself says when we ask him to describe his talk:

We often find it difficult to relate to children and young people's TV and computer gaming, and often waver between a positive and a negative view of gaming.

But it is my conviction that gaming plays a significant role in our children's personal development in a positive way. My professional life as a teacher and headteacher has given me insights that have strengthened me as a parent and made me re-evaluate the importance of games as something that promotes personal maturity, rather than hinders it.

Let me present a way of approaching gaming that strengthens young people's development as human beings and individuals through games – and a mission for you who are standing by!

Time and place

The presentation will be held on the Panel Stage in Hall B, at 18:00 on Saturday.
