Policy on prize money and prizes (DG 2025)

General information

In various e-sports tournaments and sometimes in other activities at our Glitched festivals, we offer prize money and sometimes product prizes.

In the case of product prices, all products are delivered on site, and if Glitched cannot provide the product prices on site, Glitched will deliver them to your home address within a reasonable time.

As part of each tournament's rules, Glitched reserves the right to deduct prize money if the team/player does not follow the official rules. For example, specific deductions may be made if the team/player does not turn up for the prize-giving ceremony or has received warnings under the official rules.

This policy outlines the procedures for claiming prize money from Glitched official e-sports tournaments and all other cash prize competitions. These rules apply to all participants and are non-negotiable.

For team-based competitions, one person must handle the payment if it is done as an individual.

How do I make my claim?

Prize money must be claimed.

  • Deadline: Prize money must be claimed within 30 days of winning, otherwise the claim lapses. This ensures payout within 90 days of the win.
  • Process: Follow the procedure below to claim your prize money, based on your situation
  • Currency: Prize money is paid in SEK.
  • Taxation:
    • Prize money is tax-free only if it is claimed by a registered company, association or non-profit organisation.
    • Individuals claiming prize money are taxed according to Swedish law and social security contributions are added, as it is treated as salary. By law, one person is responsible for the claim.
