In the summer of 2026, Glitched returns to Elmia with a clear ambition: to blur the line between digital festival and summer party. Ahead of this year's edition, which takes place 12-15 June, an extensive investment in the outdoor area is now being presented. Among the attractions are Scandinavia's largest MTB freestyle show, the international fire group Ignited and an updated camping concept.
Glitched has established itself as a central point for gaming and LAN culture, but for the 2026 edition, the focus is on broadening the overall experience outside the halls. The goal is to create a vibrant festival environment that lives around the clock.
Adrenalin and world athletes
One of this year's bookings is MTB Freestyle Show, described as the largest of its kind in Scandinavia. Visitors will be able to watch World Cup riders perform spectacular tricks at high altitude. In addition to the shows, the focus is on interactivity, with visitors given the opportunity to test bikes themselves and learn the basics from professional athletes.
- We want Glitched to be a place where people don't just consume entertainment, but are part of it. That's why we want to be able to offer a show and at the same time broaden the range of ”taster” activities, says Christoffer Melin, one of the organisers.
Fireshows and festival atmosphere
In the evenings, the outdoor area is transformed into a party place. The international group Ignited, known from TV4's Talang, among others, will provide visually striking fire shows in the summer night. This will be complemented by daily DJ sets, an expanded food court and lounge areas for relaxing after intense gaming sessions.
Campsite becomes new meeting place
Interest in staying at the festival campsite is expected to be high this summer. Last year the concept of the outdoor area was tested and this year the design is being updated with a central square, designed to act as a natural meeting place for the community. Details of the activities in the square will be announced later in the spring.
