Glitched is taking the next step and launching the Glitched Card Festival, a new venture in the collectible card game sector, positioned as Sweden’s largest festival for Trading Card Games.
The premiere will take place on 12–14 June 2026 at Elmia in Jönköping, as part of the Glitched gaming and LAN festival.
The new initiative brings together players, collectors, creators, and exhibitors in a dedicated area in Hall B, focusing on Pokémon but naturally, you can also see elements of other card games like Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh.
– “We are seeing a clear shift, with trading cards moving from a niche interest to the mainstream. Interest has skyrocketed in Sweden, and there is a clear need for larger venues. With the Glitched Card Festival, we want to create Sweden’s best card festival”, says Christoffer Melin, founder of Glitched.
Early access tickets are released on May 6th
On Wednesday 6 May at 18:00, a limited number of early access tickets for the Glitched Card Festival will go on sale. These tickets, when combined with a valid day pass for the festival, grant access to the venue one hour before other visitors each day.
The aim is to create an exclusive experience for collectors and provide early access to the market and activities.
Three parts form the festival
The Glitched Card Festival is structured around three main areas:
Market & Exhibitors
A comprehensive exhibition area where visitors can buy, sell, and discover cards, accessories, and collectibles. Among the exhibitors are established players such as PokeTalk, RareFinds and Cardlevels.
Community Trade Zone
An open square where visitors can trade cards, play, and meet. The focus is on creating a safe environment for both new and experienced collectors.
Card Festival Stage
A scene with live pack openings, creator collaborations, and interactive elements. Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate themselves and open packs in front of an audience.
Built together with the Community
The initiative is being undertaken in close collaboration with players from the TCG scene, with PokeTalk and RareFinds being central partners in the development of the area and the founding of the festival.
– “For us, it’s all about creating a place where the community can really come together. Glitched gives us the chance to take what we do online and scale it up into something bigger, together with thousands of visitors”, says Vaso from PokeTalk.
A growing market
Collectible card games are one of the fastest-growing parts of gaming culture globally. New titles and increased interest in physical meeting places are driving development forward.
Glitched, which brought together over 15,000 visitors during its first year, sees Card Festival as a natural next step in broadening the festival's content.
– “When we build together with the community, something truly relevant is created. This is a long-term commitment for us.”, says Anton Johansson at Glitched.
A long-term establishment
The Glitched Card Festival is not just a one-off event, but a strategic initiative aimed at establishing one of the Nordic region’s leading hubs for collectible card games.
